CHPN was launched in September 2016 as a local network for the Hunter Region in NSW. It is now open to all Australian Christians working in healthcare including students, and extends to pastoral carers.
Our Network facilitates connections between local Christian Health Professionals and works to promote the application of faith to our healthcare work in a sensitive, exemplary and loving manner.
We achieve this by maintaining an online directory of Christian Health Professionals, a Facebook Community, and meeting together for prayer annually.
For your peace of mind, the online Network has several layers of cybersecurity in place. Find out more here.
The directory allows members to provide others with details of all their services, and to find other Christians in larger organisations, eg. hospitals, secular workplaces, universities. It allows health professionals to identify as Christians for mutual support, even if they are not taking referrals.
Pastoral carers can make healthcare workers aware of social resources in their churches such as youth groups, playgroups or other practical assistance available, eg. meal rosters.
Our vision is to make our directory self-sustaining, would you help us to reach our goal by inviting Christians who are healthcare workers, students and pastoral carers to join us?
You can also join us as we gather together to pray each year that our loving God is at work in us, through us, in our patients and in our community.
